The first meeting of my characters of The Healer (Working title).
The section in question.
It was too close. I desperately clung to it as I felt no ground under my feet. And I didn’t want to risk looking down, fearing that my guess was quite true. That it was a long way down.
“Someone…” I could barely breathe, “Help…me.” I started to pray under my breath as I tried to keep my grip.
The wind tugged at my hair, ready to knock me off.
A shadow moved closer to the edge. I felt something take a hold of my wrist. Then an arm was clutching under mine.
“Grab a hold of my shoulder.”
I couldn’t tell who had my arm, but I did not argue. The pull was slow and steady, and I found purchase with my knees.
As of 5-5-2014, I got voted to put into one of the local banks with this one by the San Angelo Art Club. It's on display for the month.
